about
The Eleven-Hundred Watercolor Society was founded in 1991 by artists who studied with the well-known watercolorists Mario Cooper and Dale Meyers at The Art Students League of New York.
The goals of the Society are to exhibit their work, to grow as artists and to enhance the appreciation of water media as an art form.
“The purpose of art is washing the dust of daily life off our souls.”
Pablo Picasso
